When the Women's Center Endowment Fund was established in 2000, it was the dream of the organizing committee members to generate lasting financial resources for the Women's Center's services and programs. An endowment is a gift that essentially lasts forever, because it is invested and the annual income earned from the gift is used to provide charitable services. When a gift is made to an endowment funds, the principal is maintained in perpetuity. It is invested for the purpose of producing present and future income, which may either be expended or added to the principal.

The Guild Membership dues structure allows for dues paid in excess of $35 to be allocated to the Endowment Fund (see Guild Policies.) Gifts to the Endowment Fund can be made anytime in the form of cash, real estate, life insurance, publicly traded shares of stock, government or corporate bonds, appreciated assets, or through a will or bequest. Tax-deductible receipts are issued for all gifts. Contributions can commemorate special life events. Tribute cards provided by the Women's Center tell someone that you care and have donated a gift in their name to help women and their families in our community.

Private donations, our ever-so-popular Guild luncheon raffles, the Guild Board commitment of ten percent of proceeds from fund raisers, and donations by members in excess of $35 dues have contributed to our Endowment growth.
